Diabetes and weight related health problems affect many people in our community. At my campaign kick-off for House District 58 on April 27th I was overweight at 292 lbs and publicly challenged myself to lose 58 pounds before the General Election on Tuesday, November 7th.
I will reach my goal of 234 lbs by walking throughout the district, eating a healthy diet, and visiting a doctor. My goal is to weigh less than 258 lbs before the Democratic Primary Election on Thursday, August 3rd. My progress will be tracked here weekly on the campaign website with the posting of my most recent weigh-in results and an updated picture of me on the scale at the Downtown Nashville YMCA.
Through my 58 for 58 Campaign, I hope to inspire others in the community to lose weight, get in shape, and live a healthier lifestyle. I ask you to demonstrate your support of my 58 for 58 Campaign by making an online contribution in the amount of either $58
(Slim Group) or
